Service was quick for each different test, the staff were all plesant, professional and friendly. I felt I was listened too, and the optician was really informative when discussing the tests etc.

Deceptive behaviour skim read this at least please !! Moved from York so started coming here. At first its easy access, polite etc. But after my exam i needed new lenses and was offered the 2nd staged thinning which i took. Was not warned, advised, given paperwork etc of a know SIDE AFFECT of the second stage thinning which can cause unfocusd or blurry peripheral vision. The second i explained whats happening everyone knew. Refused to admit they should have gave warnings and said, many places dont give you warnings of possible effects. Sorry its my eyes, if i knew id have said no. Guess its just the bottom line. I did miss the 3 months mark in fairness but i always give new lenses 4 weeks to adjust and then just got busy and didnt want to be a problem. Wont go back, i'll move to vision express or tesco etc and hope they warn of possible side affects. Main reason i havnt done laser is the 1-2 % chance of serious complications. Chatted to them and im a perfect candidate but not worth the risk with sight.

Sadly I came across an older female staff member who had a very rude attitude, unhelpful and I was actually ready to book an eye test but due to her condescending response to an unrelated question, I realised I was going to spend my money in an independent opticians locally as I always buy new glasses at least 3-4 pairs but not at this establishment.

I have recently taken my daughter to Specsavers in Northwich for her first eye test, she is only 5 years old and all of the staff were so kind and friendly with her. They really did go above and beyond to make sure she felt settled offering colouring books and stickers. The optician was exceptional, explaining everything as he went along. A special to mention to Katie on reception who is so welcoming and made my daughter feel at ease. Thank you!

I will try and remain impartial but this may be difficult. Had the absolute displeasure of dealing with Andrew (optical assistant) who can only be described as having a god complex. This man is incredibly rude and dismissive, no people skill what so ever and has no way of understanding and dealing with the general public. I can handle people like him, and even I wouldn’t want have to deal with that again nevermind someone else. The optician herself, a younger girl, was absolutely outstanding, very polite and knowledgeable, it’s a shame she has to work with people like Andrew and the other colleagues who are ever so rude.
